EP090: PIXEL PANCHO
APRIL 2018
"Plants are like feelings, they can grow, make you really good or really bad…"
As one of the most prolific muralist in the world, Italian artist Pixel Pancho has hammered his mark onto the scene with authority and set a pace that is unmatched by most. His work deals with the universal ideas of humanity and personal human struggle and growth wrapped up neatly within the metaphor of decaying robots and is some of the most original and identifiable work out there. Within the scene Pixel has a reputation as being a “don’t hold back, say it like you mean it” kind of guy and our interview with him was no different. After recently relocating his life from Europe to the US his work continues to evolve as it has from the beginning and is currently transitioning (back) into the realm of sculpture. With so much to talk about and a personality as big as Pixel’s we knew we had to get him on the show so during the opening of Urban Nation last September we made sure not to miss the opportunity.
