2024 marks a full decade of VantagePointRadio. It’s hard to believe that what began as a half-drunken idea one night has grown into ten years of interviews, festival hopping, and conversations with some of the most exciting names in the urban and contemporary art world. The year kicked off still riding the wave of Denver Walls, where JB and Tom recorded with a lineup of Colorado’s finest: Detour, Kimchi Juice, and GFB3. From there the focus shifted across the globe, as the chromatic master ACHES traveled from Dublin to Sydney and sat down with the crew. Australia proved to be a major chapter in the anniversary year. Tom made the trip to the Benalla Mural Festival for an in-depth conversation with SOFLES, before heading down to the Wall to Wall Festival in Melbourne. There, after years of trying, VantagePoint finally captured long-anticipated interviews with ADNATE, Tommy Day III, ZOER, and longtime friend of the show Claude Blo Ricci — a guest who quite literally took ten years to get on the mic. The year came to a close in Mexico, where James recorded with lettering powerhouse It’s A Living, rounding out the anniversary season in fitting style: global, diverse, and deeply rooted in the relationships built over the last decade. Ten years in, VantagePoint has stayed true to its original mission — bringing artists’ voices directly to the people — while continuing to evolve into a truly international, mobile platform for the culture.
