EP092 : HOT TEA
MAY 2018
"The physical labour that goes into my installs is crazy"
Although his roots are in graffiti and train writing, Hot Tea is far from your typical street artists. He’s not out for fame and tends to shy away from the spotlight but these traits are part of what make him such a captivating artist. He still writes graffiti and is constantly developing new ways to push and evolve the idea of what graffiti is, but these days he is primarily recognized for his sight specific installations using unconventional materials… mainly yarn. We were extremely fortunate to meet up with “HOT TEA during a fascinating transitional period of his life and career and recorded our most personal and introspective interview in VantagePoint history, and to be honest, with Hot Tea as the guest, it was never really going to end up any other way.
