Aaron “Woes” Martin is a man of many talents. Best known globally for his paintings, sculptures and murals of cuddly yet ferocious pandas Woes has carved out a life for himself that pretty much anyone would be envious of. He travels the world creating art that people universally love, He lives in both southern California and Hawaii where he was born and raised, and he maintaining an active roll in the hip hop and dj scene that he credits for having a massive influence on the man he is today. On top of all that, or maybe because of all that, he’s also one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet and definitely one of the most fun to talk to. We were fortunate to sit down with Woes in his home city of Honolulu during Pow Wow Hawaii 2018 to discuss a bit of art in-between a heavy discussion of Hip Hop.
