2017
TWO THOUSAND Seventeen
Seawalls New Zealand to Urban Nation Berlin
2017 began with three interviews recorded in Berlin. Two of which featured local heroes including berlin graffiti legend Poet73 and Stereoheat. The third featured dear friend of the show Tristan Eaton who was in town for a project. In March, VantagePoint was invited to New Zealand for Pangeaseed’s ‘Sea Walls’ project where artist from around the globe come to paint murals promoting ocean conservation. We were honored to participate and recorded six episodes to help spread the word about this important project.
Later that year VantagePoint was honored to take part in the highly anticipated grand opening of the Urban Nation museum in Berlin which marked the culmination of the long-time cooperation between VantagePoint and our dear friend and Urban Nation director at the time, Yasha Young. As what felt like the entire urban art global community descended upon Berlin for the opening, VantagePoint was given a private recording studio at the UN to record interviews with some of the biggest and most influential artists in the scene.
