As the world continued to be utterly shut down through 2021, VantagePoint was forced to do something they swore they would never do and began recording interviews over the internet. Previously, Tom and JB had a strict policy that interviews were only to be recorded face to face with both hosts in the same room as the artist(s). But with Tom locked down in Sydney and JB in Berlin a decision needed to be made to either break that rule or the show comes to an end. The compromise was that one host would join the interview via zoom from across the planet while the other sat face to face with the artist (sometimes fully masked). As strange as it felt at first, the show never missed a beat and recorded interviews with artists from Germany, Japan, Switzerland, Australia, England, and Canada including some all time legends in the scene in Mode2, Lady Aiko, and Akut.
