POW! WOW! stands apart as an international mural arts festival. Founded by Jasper Wong, originating in Hong Kong in 2009. The festival’s evolution took a significant turn in 2010 when it hosted its first week-long mural arts event in Honolulu, Hawaii. Since then, POW! WOW! has embarked on a remarkable journey, spanning across 17 cities worldwide. Its core mission revolves around the beautification of urban landscapes and the nurturing of vibrant communities through art. This cultural phenomenon brings together local and international artists, creating stunning murals that breathe new life into cityscapes while fostering unity and cultural exchange. POW! WOW! has become a global force in contemporary street art, transcending geographical boundaries to make cities more visually appealing and connected. and in 2018 in true VantagePoint style, we gate crashed the party.
