Urban Nation Berlin to Pow Wow Hawaii
2018 was a BIG year for VantagePoint as we continued to roll out the interviews recorded during the massive grand opening week of the Urban Nation museum in Berlin where so many major players in the urban art scene were in attendance. It was an honor and a privilege to sit down with key figures in the history of the movement such as Blek Le Rat from France and Mark Bodé, son and collaborator of Vaughn Bodé, from NYC. During the opening week VantagePoint was given a private studio at Urban Nation to record our interviews and we took full advantage of the star studded crowd to record the first set of our ‘MVP (More VantagePoint) series’ where we sat down with past guests of the show to find out whats new since their episode aired.
In February, VantagePoint gate crashed the prestigious Pow Wow festival in Hawaii, one of the longest running and most respected festivals in the world. JB painted his wall during the day and VantagePoint recorded interviews all night in the Pow Wow HQ. Thanks to Pow Wow and the amazing Hawaiian vibes, 2018 closed out with some of the most festive interviews we ever recorded.
